The team at the Fort recognises that whilst the risk is low, we are currently monitoring the developing situation and following government guidelines to ensure you can enjoy your holiday with us.
** Important update 17/03/2020
It is highly likely that the Fort will revert to a quiet accommodation only retreat for the coming season, providing clean and safe low density accommodation for our guests.
It maybe that all of the communal facilities will be closed for the year. We will be operating a bespoke food and drinks delivery service to your place of stay.
To date there have been no confirmed cases at the Fort, and we are open for business as usual. We will provide any update should that change.
If you are coming to stay with us , we would like reassure you of the action we are taking to ensure the risk to all here remains low.
We have revised and amended our cleaning procedures in the holiday homes and around the public areas. We have also increased the number of hand sanitisers around the Fort.
The staff have received guidance in keeping our guests as secure as possible during this difficult period.
We would like to remind all our guests to take the well documented government advise.
- wash hands regularly for at least 20 seconds using soap and water or hand sanitiser.
- Maintain good hygiene practices such as using tissues when coughing or sneezing , and dispose the tissue into a bin.
What should I do if I feel unwell during my stay?
If you are on the Fort and feel unwell, we recommend you return to your place of stay, and take the NHS advise to call 111 to talk to a medical professional, who can provide guidance in regard to any health concerns.
We would advise you to check the GOV.UK website for the most up to date information https://gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public
